girl, i’m with you

While biking, I saw a young couple on the corner and instantly sensed they were having a moment. Not a good moment. She was still, crossed arms, looking at her feet, to the side, everywhere but at the boy standing inches in front of her. He talked to her softly, his lips barely moving, but I just knew he was saying things that were breaking her heart.

I really wanted to yell, “He’s not good enough for you! HE’S WEARING A DUMB BACKPACK!”

I biked away without yelling. If I had, I would have added that his shorts also made him look like a real goober.
